(CORNWALL, NEW YORK) – Workers employed at the Storm King Art Center (SKAC) in Cornwall have voted to Unionize with the Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA).

The Workers are now part of the Cultural Workers United Coalition, which is headed up by CSEA’s International Union – the American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees (AFSCME).

AFSCME represents the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Brooklyn Museum in New York City.

SKAC is a world-renowned outdoor sculpture park located in Orange County.

The Sculpture Park Workers decided to Unionize, citing the need for equitable wages and benefits, the alignment of compensation and workplace protections for Visitor Services, Maintenance, Curatorial and Development Employees.

The Workers first began their organizing process with CSEA last Summer and after a National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) Election became the SKAC Workers Union.
