‘Empowering Women In Construction Trades’ - Webinar Series ‘Demonstrates Potential For Women To Enter & Thrive In The Construction Trades’

Meredith Hernlund at The Environmental Factor - Your Online source for NIEHS News reports on a recent webinar series hosted by a National Institute of Environmental Health Services (NIEHS) Worker Training Program (WTP) grantee that focused on Women in Construction Trades, highlighting hiring trends, barriers in retention and future strategies for them to build careers and thrive.  Chris Cain, who serves as Executive Director for the Center for Construction Research, said: “The Construction Industry offers a wide variety of careers and a pathway to financial security for many Americans.  We expect to see more Women joining the workforce in the coming years.”  The webinar series was held earlier this year - on February 9th and March 8th, and featured speakers representing the Building Trades and Non-Profit Organizations.
