1199 SEIU & Promesa Reach Agreement On First Contract For Workers Employed At Its Addiction Treatment Facilities In Albany, Buffalo & Dunkirk - Workers Ratify Contract That Calls For A Ratification Bonus & Affordable Health & Retirement Benefits
(ALBANY, NEW YORK) – 1199 Service Employees International Union (SEIU) has reached a tentative agreement on a first contract for Workers employed at Promesa Incorporated’s Addiction Treatment Facilities in Albany, Buffalo and Dunkirk, the Union announced.
“Shout out congratulations to the new Members of our 1199SEIU Family (in Albany, Buffalo and Dunkirk) who fought long and hard for their first contract - and ratified an excellent agreement. Well deserved!,” 1199 SEIU posted on its Facebook Page.
In addition to a ratification bonus, for the first time Union Officials said Albany, Buffalo and Dunkirk 1199 SEIU-represented Promesa Employees will receive contractually guaranteed: Annual raises and increases to minimum rates; Affordable health and retirement benefits; Grievance and arbitration procedures; Seniority; Longevity Bonuses; and access to the 1199 SEIU Child Care Fund, Training & Upgrading Fund and Job Security Fund.
According to information posted on its website, Promesa is an Addiction Treatment Provider that helps those who need addiction help get the guidance, treatment and counseling they need.
Promesa’s caring Addiction Recovery Professionals are devoted to assisting addicts in overcoming addiction and addictive behaviors, the website said.
