In Order To ‘Better Reflect The Demographics Of The City It Serves,’ New York City Mayor Adams Signs FDNY Diversity Legislation

Duncan Freeman at The Chief Leader reports on Mayor Eric Adams signing into law a package of Bills intended to diversify the Fire Department of New York (FDNY), the Nation’s largest Fire Department, and better reflect the demographics of the City it serves. The legislation also provides Firefighters with protections against harassment, discrimination and bias.
