In The State Of Iowa, Apprenticeships ‘Show Their Worth In A Changing World’

Beth Townsend at KPVI.com reports some of the best workforce solutions sometimes are the obvious ones - because they work.  Registered Apprenticeships are a perfect example of this.  That’s why the Iowa Workforce Development is bullish on Apprenticeships.  The U.S. Department of Labor recently announced Iowa set a record with 9,731 active Apprentices in the Fiscal Year ending September 30th (2022).  Some 5,402 Iowans joined Apprenticeships during that period and the State led the Nation by creating 163 new programs in multiple areas - including 25 non-construction occupations.  Iowans can now select from 890 different Apprenticeships across the State.
