Saturday Night Live Post-Production Workers ‘Go Union’ With The Motion Picture Editors Guild

Tom Tapp at Deadline reports exclusively Post-Production Workers at NBC’s iconic Saturday Night Live (SNL) have successfully organized with the Motion Picture Editors Guild (MPEG) Local 700 of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE).  The Workers are part of SNL’s Film Unit, which creates the show’s pre-recorded segments, including its popular music video parodies.  The group now represented by MPEG will range from between roughly a dozen to 20 Part-Time Employees.
