A LaborLab/Centiment Poll conducted between April 7th and April 10th (2021) found 65% of Workers under the age of 40 are unfamiliar with their right to Unionize.

The poll had a margin of error of plus or minus 5% and its findings are pretty disturbing.

While 65% of Millennial and Gen Z Employees lack a clear understanding of their right to form a Union, only 10% said they were "very familiar" with their rights.

Interestingly, this trend was reflected across demographics regardless of age, gender, race, education and income.

While the right to form a Union is protected by the U.S. Constitution, Federal Law and International Law, Union-Busting special interests have spent millions of dollars trying to dissuade hard-working Americans from starting Unions by making the process appear overly intimidating, confusing and bureaucratic.

The fact that such a huge number of young Workers don't know about their right to form a Union isn't shocking.

Who can remember learning about their Labor Rights in school or anywhere else in any significant way?

The good news is that, like the rest of the population, Millennial and Gen Z want to have a Union in their workplace - they just don't know they have the right to start a Union.
