In the days since the Biden/Harris victory, two narratives have emerged.

One is based on facts.

The other is based on the fevered imagination of Donald Trump.

One represents a victory for the people of the world.

The other represents an attempt at historical revisionism based on the lie that the “election was stolen.”

One opens the possibility of a new direction for our country.

The other provides a descent into madness and a hell on earth.

Biden/Harris won the election and did so decisively.

Nothing was stolen.

There was no fraud committed - except that perpetrated on the country by Trump, his Republican enablers and his apologists in the Right Wing news media.

The issue is decided, the United States will have a new administration headed by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on January, 20th, 2020 at 12 p.m.

What is yet to be decided is what will be the path taken after January 20th.

For the Working Class, the path must be one of vigilance and determination.

The opposition to Trump and his program consolidated into a clear Pro-Democracy front. 

This front has principles and a clear objective: Prevent a dictatorship led by Trump and stop the Trumpian program of science denial, ultra-nationalism, racism and impoverishment.

We must be vigilant and continue to fight Trump and his politics.

The “election was stolen” propaganda is continuing and must be countered.

While that ideological fight continues, we must also pursue a strong Pro-Working Class Economic and Social Agenda.

The points of this agenda are not hidden.

We must promote science and internationalism in the fight against COVID-19 and to curtail climate change.

We must push for fiscal policies that oppose austerity measures in the economy.

And to do so we must reorder financial priorities.

The Trump Tax Cuts for the richest 1% must be rescinded.

With the revenue generated, the problems of health care coverage and pension security must be taken up for solution. 

An infrastructure program that addresses the glaring transportation, housing and education needs of Working People must also be in the forefront of the Biden/Harris agenda.

Further, we cannot effectively fight the ugly scourge of racism and all its odious manifestations without leadership at the national level.

We are at a crossroads.

We have made the first important steps to a brighter future.

Now is the time to redouble our efforts and put Trump and Trumpism where they belong - into the dust-bin of history.
