Designed To Reach Rochester, NY’s ‘Historically Disadvantaged’ Populations, The Multi-Craft Apprenticeship Preparation Program ‘Offers The Most Comprehensive Introduction To Direct Entry Into’ A Building Trades’ Apprenticeship Program
(ROCHESTER, NEW YORK) - Designed to reach Rochester’s historically disadvantaged populations, The Multi-Craft Apprenticeship Preparation Program (MAPP) offers the most comprehensive introduction to direct entry into a Building Trades’ Apprenticeship Program.
MAPP is a unique and critically-important partner in the necessary work of building vital and viable bridges for those who are seeking a career in the wide array of world-class Unionized Construction Trades Apprenticeship Program opportunities.
A not-for-profit, New York State-certified program, MAPP helps to provide those in the Rochester area with the experience, education and basic skills required to successfully become viable Construction Apprentices.
MAPP’s work also contributes to helping the critical effort of reaching set levels of diversity when it comes to hiring and contracting goals, a need that has intensified in recent years, both locally and across the Nation.
And, the MAPP Program has effectively demonstrated to local, regional and statewide elected officials that the Rochester Building and Construction Trades Council is committed to diversifying the local Construction Labor Union Workforce, and to providing pathways to Middle Class, career-track opportunities to historically underserved and underrepresented Workers in the Greater Rochester Area.
