A message from WNYLaborToday.com Editor-Publisher Tom Campbell:

For a little more than three months now, WNYLaborToday.com’s Subscription Pay Wall has been inactive, a decision made following a series of positive discussions with supportive Western New York Labor Leaders, who agreed to use this break to encourage their Members to visit Your On-Line Labor Newspaper without any log-in information needed.

However, with an April 15th expiration date passed, which marks the end of that goodwill agreement - but now taking into consideration as to what is currently transpiring with the Coronavirus Pandemic and its impact on Labor Unions and the Front Line Workers they collectively represent, WNYLaborToday.com has made a decision to keep our Subscription Pay Wall down for an indefinite period of time and continue this gratis service to those who visit, read and watch our many Labor News Reports from across Western New York, New York State and the Nation.

As we begin our 13th year in April (2020), WNYLaborToday.com believes it continues to play an important role in getting Organized Labor’s message out - unimpeded, as well as providing those who take advantage of our On-Line Labor Newspaper with an array of Labor News not found anywhere else in one place across the entire Internet.

In fact, during the just-completed month of March, WNYLaborToday.com set a one-month record – Your On-Line Labor Newspaper published 143 Labor News Stories and Reports, as well as large number of Labor News Videos.

In December 2019, WNYLaborToday.com was asked to take down its subscription pay wall to benefit Organized Labor and its Members. 

However, taking down that pay wall removed a stream of revenue that WNYLaborToday.com used to pay its bills and continue to offer the Labor Movement a Labor News Media Outlet of its own.

Now, WNYLaborToday.com is asking individual Labor Unions to consider becoming a Front Page Advertiser and commit to taking a 12-month, Direct Link/Banner Ad to support Your On-Line Labor Newspaper, as have several other Unions - including: the Buffalo Teachers Federation; the New York State United Teachers; Communications Workers of America District One; CWA Local 1122; International Union of Operating Engineers Local 17; United Steelworkers District 4; United Steelworkers Local 135; and the Buffalo Building & Construction Trades Council.

In addition, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 2104 in Niagara Falls recently did so too – choosing to increase its support and is now featured in a Front Page, Direct Link Banner Ad.

With that said, Your Union’s advertising support will allow WNYLaborToday.com to not only continue to provide the Labor Movement with its own Labor News Media Outlet, but continue on as a free and open Labor News offering in the months to come as we all come together to battle the Coronavirus and into this November’s all-important Presidential Election.
