(SYRACUSE) - Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 200 United’s Executive Board Has Announced the Endorsements of the Following Candidates Who are Running for New York Statewide Offices: Governor - Andrew Cuomo; Lt. Governor - Kathy Hochul; Attorney General - Eric Schneiderman; and Comptroller - Thomas DiNapoli

SEIU Local 200 United Represents Nearly 15,000 Public and Private Sector Workers Across Upstate New York, Including Western New York.  The Union’s Membership are Employed as Direct Care Workers and Nurses, Administrative Assistants and Secretaries, Teaching Assistants, Food Service Workers, Bus Drivers, Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Professionals, Municipal Workers, Security Guards, Janitors, Buildings and Groundskeepers, Maintenance Workers, Ticket Takers and Ushers, Cemetery Workers and Parking Attendants.

SEIU Local 200 United Representatives Based at the Union’s Syracuse Headquartered Underscored the Union Takes its Endorsement Process “Very Seriously” and Believes its “Important” to Provide the Candidates With An Early Endorsement. 

“All Have a Record of Supporting Our Members and Families and (SEIU Local 200 United) Believes Their Leadership Will Help Move the Progressive Agenda to Benefit Working Men and Women in New York,” Union Leadership said

SEIU Local 200 United Plans to Conduct Five Meet The Candidates Nights Around the State Before Announcing its Full List of Endorsed Candidates in Late September.

Union Representatives say All Endorsement Will be Approved by SEIU Local 200 United’s Executive Board, Which is Comprised of All Dues Paying Members.
