Tuesday, November 5th is Election Day – A Very Important Day for Working People across Western New York, New York State and the Nation.
As a Working Person/Union-Represented Worker and Non-Represented Worker, It’s Your Opportunity to Step Forward and Make a Statement by Voting For Those Candidates Supported by Organized Labor - and Especially Those Union Leaders and Members Who’ve Individually Decided to Make a Difference and are also Running for Public Office.
Here’s What the Western New York AFL-CIO Area Labor Federation Has to Say:
Over the Past Few Months There's Been a Great Deal of Labor Activity, with Many People Involved. A Lot of Union Members from All Sectors Have Been Talking Member-To-Member about a Legislative Agenda that Addresses the Real Needs of Working Families in Our Communities. The Discussion’s About Good Jobs, Effective Public Services and the Need to Rebuild and Maintain Our Infrastructure. In Addition, Union Members Have Been Discussing that Our Tax Dollars Need To Be Used In The Public's Best Interests! Subsidies to Businesses Must Create Community Benefit and, At the Very Least, Hire Locally and Produce Family Sustaining Jobs.
