The New York State AFL-CIO Endorses Western New York Congresswoman Kathy Hochul’s Re-Election Bid/President Mario Cilento Says Hochul “Understands The Strength Of Our State And Our Country Depends On A Vibrant Middle Class”
The New York AFL-CIO Labor Organization, which represents 2.5 million Union Members across New York State, has endorsed U.S. Congresswoman Kathy Hochul of Western New York in her re-election campaign.
“I am pleased to announce the New York State AFL-CIO’s endorsement of Kathy Hochul,” said New York State President Mario Cilento, whose Labor Organization represents 80,000 Working Men and Women in the 27th Congressional District that Hochul presently serves.
“Congresswoman Hochul shares the values of Working men and Women throughout Western New York. She understands that the strength of our State and our Country depends on a vibrant Middle Class. In just a short time in office, Congresswoman Hochul has shown that she’s willing to take on tough fights on behalf of the Working Families she proudly represents. This is an important race for the future of Western New York and the Workers who call it ‘home.’ By endorsing early, the New York State AFL-CIO will get a jump start in coordinating a comprehensive grassroots campaign to get our Members to the polls and send Kathy Hochul back to Congress,” Cilento said.
Congresswoman Hochul said: “I’m humbled to have the endorsement of an organization that represents so many Hard-Working Men and Women around our great State. This election is going to be about protecting our Middle Class and our Seniors, and I know that we are going to win that battle. It’s a privilege to fight everyday for the people of my District and I look forward to continuing that work.”
