The National AFL-CIO Convention Is Being Held In Los Angeles This Week.  So Far, Which Speaker Has Made The Biggest Impression On You When It Comes To What They've Said About The Labor Movement?  Has It Been National AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka, President Obama, U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren (Democrat-Massachusetts) or U.S. Secretary Of Labor & Buffalo Native Thomas Perez? Or Was It Someone Else?

I Have Viewed a Number of Speeches and Enjoyed Them. For Me Though, as a Retiree - Having 45 years of Union Membership, I Love the Sights & Sounds of a Very Progressive Labor Movement. With that being said, it's the Younger Membership that Needs the Proper Mentorship of their Elders to Advance into the Future Leadership. Those Elders, having Fear of Losing their Jobs, Should be Ashamed of Themselves and They Should Get Out of the Way. Speaker Chris Sloan, who serves as Government Affairs Director for the International Union of Painters & Allied Trades (IUPAT), was the Most Impressionable. Speaking on the Matter of Resolution 19, and only at the Age of 28, he is an Example of Organized Labor's Future. Whether it is the 'Young Lions,' 'Young Unionists,' 'NextUp' and others, it's Strategic, Smart and Progressive Decision-Making that will Carry the Preservation of the Labor Movement. Throw those Damn Egos Out the Window and Begin the March for Unity and Solidarity. We Still Have Time. Thank You!
