Anti-Worker/Anti-Union Republican Governor Scott Walker Beat Back A Major Attempt By Democrats & Organized Labor In A Recall Election Aimed At Restoring Workers' Rights & Collective Bargaining In Wisconsin.  Some Say The Election Results Will Have Nationwide Impact In The Upcoming Presidential Election.  So, What Must Organized Labor Do Now?

First, I'd like to thank Tom Campbell for including the video: WHAT DOES MITT ROMNEY THINK OF UNIONS?, on WNYLaborToday.com's Front Page.

I'm hopeful the education learned by the tens of thousands of Union Members, Family Members and friends from watching and listening will upset them enough to be sure to Get Out The Vote (GOTV) in November for the re-election of President Obama.

With the Presidential Election some 4 1/2 months away, the end result of the Wisconsin Governor's Recall Election Race will have some low-level impact. But people can also be reminded that the Recall Election resulted in the Democrats winning back the control of the Wisconsin State Senate. So, where this Governor enjoyed controlling all three Legislative Branches of Wisconsin State Government, he now has two - which for an egotist such as he is, that really hurts.

BUT WHAT MUST ORGANIZE LABOR DO NOW?

Education through communication, such as mailed Labor Newsletters, attending Union Meetings, Social Media via E-Mailings, Text Messaging, Facebook, Twitter and of course, accessing WNYLaborToday.com. I've just identified seven methods of communication for the Leadership of the many Public- and -Private-Sector Labor Organizations. Unequivocally, I'm confident some of these examples will be or are already being utilized by the Leadership. But what if the Leadership isn't fulfilling his or her due diligence to educate through communications? Then it's time for change. It's time for 'new' Leadership. Shame on any Labor Union Leadership that can't see or is just simply so institutionalized that he or she is unwilling to view 'the light thru the forest' And for those Labor Leaders already fulfilling their obligations and oath of office to educate through communication to his or her hard-working and skilled membership, I say a big 'THANK YOU!'

In Solidarity, WE ARE ONE!
